House Building! - Part 2 (Framing/Black-in)

So the fact that I started working on my last house post in or somewhere around October of LAST YEAR is making me feel like this next stage of the House Building project is going quicker than I can keep up with!  The carpenters have arrived!!

Jk jk... not THOSE...

THESE carpenters!!

Sure is hot out here standing in no shade on what is basically a large-scale baking sheet in an oven

Framing materials!

Walls are going up!

Aawwww!  Look at the cute little wanna be steps!  They'll be stairs one day!  :)
That was quick!  Well, these are temporary stairs but still...

Dad checking out the progress on the garage

Our front porch!!

The Master Bedroom.... and dad  :)

I can't smile big enough over my big closet!!  The Husband gets the hall closet... hee hee...

Getting ready to raise the floor joists in the garage

Floor joists for the upstairs are up!

This looks serious... Not sure what they were trying to figure out but they got it done.  :)

That little triangle is the ceiling of my living room

Pretty good view from up here

As you will soon notice, the house has quite a few gables :3

Gettin ready to raise the roof  (I couldn't not say it)

Ella and the Husband checking it out... Ella kinda blends in with the dirt but she's there.

This was absolutely nerve wracking to watch... but these guys know what they're doing.

Getting close to finished!

I realize now that  I didn't get many pictures of the back of the house but there it is!
The area with the roof over it is the screened in porch.

Meanwhile inside the house...

Still plumbin' along  :)

This was my work station... it's not as comfortable as it looks.

I think I over cleaned them but hey, I got the job done

I actually kinda knew what I was doing by this point  lol

Ok, back to the outside for a second... It looks like a house!

Here's a sneak peak of our (Dad's, Husband's & Brother in law's) electrician skills

I somehow missed getting a picture of my brother-in-law while he was there working so this is him...
just imagine he's on a ladder with some wire cutters...

The living room is looking nice!

Aerial view!  :)
So close to finished!

I'll have windows there soon!

Free labor! Send me your children... I'll put them to use.  :)

That's my beautiful big kitchen window!!

First window going in!

Back door to the garage

Front door!!  (still to be stained)

This is the transom to go over the front door

This was.... interesting.  We eventually got both tubs in their respective bathrooms.

Outside faucet ready!

Everything ready for the washing machine...

Plumbing stubbed out and ready! And you can barely see it but there's a black magic marker box where my Bible is!  :)

While we were cleaning up the left over framing materials mom decided she needed a table and a footstool. :)

And that's it!!  We're ready for roofers, brick layers and vinyl!

And as promised in my last blog I will continue to share a "Derrr Moment" in every blog as needed.  Unfortunately, I did not capture this moment on film as I was the one who had the moment but I'll just say this... if your dad is pushing the tub into the wall and you're pulling the tub while between the wall and the tub do not assume he will wait for you to get out before pushing the tub all the way to the wall.  Because he won't. Getting squished by tub

That's where I was... between the boards and the maroon back of the tub.  So basically this was me.......

No, no don't rush... Take your time... I'll be here...
